And the year draws to a close

12/28/2007   And so it does. It has been a momentous year, a year of intense change and challenges, a year of startling growth and wonderful opportunities, an exhausting, exhilirating year. I look back and wonder at how far I've come, how I made it, what other amazing things wait just around the corner. In spite of the trouble and turmoil, a piece of me has returned that is invaluable. With that piece renewed, I know I can go ahead with arms wide open, ready for whatever comes. I managed to deal with plumbing under the cottage, for heaven's sake! If I can do that, I'm ready for the rest the world can throw at me! I mean, really! Who would have thought?!

So today, I thank my many friends who have pulled me through and given me pats, and pushes and shoulders to cry on. Thank you Kathleen, Helen, Lisa, Mary, Ryan, Eileen, Nick, Cindy, Dave, Ted, Dawna, Keith,Christine, Mia, Annabel, Erin, Aideen, Jeannine, Mable, Shaunna, Barb, Lori, Brad and the myriad others that my poor tired brain can't retrieve at this moment. You are all special people. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to call you friends.

And then, of course, there are my boys. My reason. My heart. The best part. Matt, Colin, Luke, Skilo.

May the new year bring you all happiness and peace.
